Differin Generic Adapalene, Differin Gel contains 0.1% Adapalene [in each gram], which is a third generation retinoid a class of chemical compounds that are related to Vitamin A used in the treatment of Acne Vulgaris. The exact method in which Adapalene works is not known, but retinoids are used in the treatment of various dermatological conditions because of their capacity to regulate cell growth, cellular differentiation, keratinization and inflammatory processes. In very moderate doses, Adapalene has been found to be beneficial in the treatment of Acne, besides Keratosis Pilaris [which is similar to acne] and other skin conditions.

Differin gel is used in the treatment of the scourge of millions of youngsters Acne, which appears on the skin as whiteheads, blackheads and pimples, which are very painful to the touch at times.
