Stromectol[Generic Ivermectin] belongs to a class of semi-synthetic anthelmintic medication, derived from avermectin which is a broad-ranging anti-parasitic agent, and is used in the treatment of infections caused by most worms.
Compounds of this anti-parasitic agent bind themselves to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels, increasing the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions with hyperpolarizaiton of the nerve/muscle cell, which results in paralyzing and ultimately killing the parasites that attack the human body.
Stromectol (Ivermectin) is used to treat diseases such as Onchorcerciasis, Strongyloidiasis, Ascariasis, Trichuriasis and Enterobiasis. It is also used for getting rid of most mites, and some lice.

Uses of Stromectol Generic :
Onchocerciasis [River Blindness], is caused by the bite of infected blackflies [a filarial nematode], that abound by rapidly flowing rivers. When these worms move around in the body and die, they can cause skin rashes, intense itching, disfigurative skin diseases, depigmentation, and eye lesions that can cause inflammation or bleeding and lead to blindness. Stromectol kills the developing worms, but for the adult worms additional doses after 3, 6, or 12 months may be required.
Strongyloidiasis affects the intestines when filariform larvae penetrate the skin. When people come into contact with soil which has been contaminated with human feces [or other waste matter], the parasites enter the body, traveling through the bloodstream to the small bowels where they mature and multiply. If the parasites spread to the heart, urinary tract, or endocrine organs, they can even cause meningitis or polymicrobial bacteremia, and prove to be fatal. This disease occurs in all age groups, but children are more prone to get it. Stromectol [Ivermectin] kills the worms in the intestines.
In places where human feces is used as fertilizer, an infection Ascariasis, is caused in people [particularly children] who consume food or liquids contaminated by the eggs of the parasitic roundworm, Ascaris lumbricoides. The movement of the roundworm eggs in the lungs, can lead to eosinophilic pneumonia which is uncommon.
Trichuriasis, is a whipworm infection of the large intestines, caused by a roundworm, Trichocephalus trichiura. It is a common infection in children, who are prone to getting it when they swallow soil which has been contaminated with whipworm eggs or feces.
Enterobiasis is caused by swallowing pinworms by children the commonest worm infection in USA. The eggs of the pinworm which are present in food or other contaminated items, mature in the colon, and move to the childs anal area, especially at night, causing intense itching. When the child scratches, the eggs can get under the childs fingernails and be transferred to anything he/she touches, as well as other members of the family.
